Important! Before making the order, you can bargain and Zhaketta without any complaints will give you 350 crowns instead of 300.
After agreeing on the price, we will find out from the girl where the cave we need is located, and, having learned the location, we go in search of the lost fiancé.
"If you do not want my death" - the passage of the quest
Having reached the designated place, we immediately notice a small camp, and with it the snoring of our hero.
If you got to the right place not from the side of the camp, but from the side of the cave and tried to enter it - Francois will immediately appear and stop you by offering to talk in the camp. Otherwise, your conversation may be awakened by a creature living in a cave. Whatever way we do not intersect with a mountain knight, then to talk about the upcoming feat.

If prior to this order you had already completed the side “The Warble of a Smitten Knight” quest and during the passage asked the tournament manager about “Raviks from Chertorog” or “Geralt from Rivia Emblem Most”, you can introduce yourself with one of these names. - Well, then I will not interfere - we leave the knight alone to fulfill his oaths, but Geralt understands that the fighter from Francois is so-so and decides to catch up and help.
Attention! If you didn’t manage to make Francois company, hesitated or stared at the running deer, he would go into the cave alone and the mission point would change from “follow the knight” to “check what happened to the knight. Unfortunately, nothing good. In the cave we will find the body of the dead Francois, entwined with roots. But we still have the opportunity to kill the creature and complete the order.
Before entering the grotto, with the help of witchacho's intuition, we can examine old armor and bones lying on the floor.
In the grotto, we will not find anyone.
The knight will offer to return to the camp, but it is better to look around. Immediately, huge flowers, which can be seen to the left of the entrance, as well as throughout the cave, rush into the eyes.
Having considered them closer with the help of witch's instincts, we decide to explore the entire cave. All flowers will automatically be reckoned after the first inspection, so we turn on our instincts and go to the far left corner of the cave.
Here we will find the bones of children and some things.

How to beat the grotto?

- In the event that Francois survived, but we took the trophy for ourselves, the girl will be extremely sad. It turns out that when her lover returned to the city, he immediately took another oath to get a striped horse from Zerrikania. Jacketta is not happy with the knight’s dodges and decided to break off relations with him. After angry remarks, we will receive a reward for the assignment.
- If Francois went to the cave himself and died, or died in a battle with the forest, then the girl can only sympathize. Say goodbye and leave without a reward, or beg money for work done - decide for yourself. In the second case, the girl will be indignant at the behavior of the witcher, but she will still give a reward.

In the early versions of the game there were bugs that prevented the advancement of the plot of the task.
