Every Switch 2 Game Coming in November and December 2026: Dates, Prices and the 5 That Matter
In this article (0 sections)

Updated October 3, 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 has a packed end to 2026. Between November 5 and December 10 there are at least 15 dated Switch 2 releases, led by the rebuilt The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on November 5 and Monster Hunter Wilds on December 4. Below is every confirmed date, the US price where one has been announced, and a short note on what each game actually is: new release, port, or upgraded edition.

Quick answer

November opens with Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nov 5, $59.99 digital / $69.99 physical), then Stellar Blade (Nov 6) and a big November 12 with Metaphor: ReFantazio, Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition and Sonic Pico Park. December is busier: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch 2 Edition (Dec 3), Monster Hunter Wilds (Dec 4, $39.99), and Professor Layton and the New World of Steam (Dec 10).

Switch 2 release calendar: November and December 2026

Dates below are the North American dates as listed by publishers and confirmed in VGC's release schedule. Prices are US standard-edition prices from publisher announcements or official store listings. Where a publisher has not announced a price yet, we say so instead of guessing from retailer placeholders.

Bold rows are our five picks, explained below. Remember that multi-platform games on this list (Sonic Pico Park, Hela, Dragon Quest Monsters, Rayman, Attack on Titan 3, Layton and Stage Tour) launch on other systems the same day, so if you own a PS5 or a gaming PC the Switch 2 version is a portability choice, not your only option.

The 5 most important Switch 2 games this holiday

We picked these on two criteria: how much the game matters to the Switch 2 library, and how much new value it offers to people who may already own it elsewhere. Popularity alone was not enough to make the list.

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (November 5)

This is the system seller of the season. Nintendo describes it as a remake of the 1998 Nintendo 64 game, rebuilt for Switch 2, and it is a Switch 2 exclusive. Unlike Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, it is built around traditional dungeons, which is exactly why many long-time fans have been asking for it.

Price is the one thing to note: Nintendo Life reports $59.99 digital and $69.99 physical, with early physical copies getting a textured foil box. If you do not care about the box, the digital version saves you $10.

2. Monster Hunter Wilds (December 4)

Capcom's biggest recent game arrives with every title update already released on PC, PS5 and Xbox, plus local wireless co-op between Switch 2 systems and online cross-play. The standard edition is $39.99, with a $29.99 digital pre-order price from October 19, according to RPGamer and Nintendo Life's coverage of Capcom's announcement. A Gold Edition sells for $79.99.

Two caveats. There is no cross-save, so an existing PC or PS5 hunter does not carry over. And Capcom has not published resolution or frame-rate targets, so wait for a free Prologue demo, which Capcom says is coming shortly before launch, before deciding. The Ascendance expansion is confirmed for Switch 2 in 2027.

3. Metaphor: ReFantazio (November 12)

Atlus's 2024 RPG from the team behind Persona lands on Switch 2 at $39.99 digitally, well under its original launch price. A $69.99 Atlus 35th Anniversary Edition and a $49.99 Guidebook Edition are also on the eShop. If you skipped it on PC or PlayStation, this is the cheapest and most portable way in.

4. Stellar Blade Complete Edition (November 6)

Shift Up's character-action game was a PlayStation exclusive at launch and then came to PC. The Switch 2 version is $59.99 and bundles the NieR: Automata and NIKKE collaboration content plus the new Bayonetta collaboration outfits, per Gematsu. It is one of the more demanding ports on this list, so check performance reviews before buying.

5. Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy (November 12)

This is the most useful upgrade for people who already own Pikmin 4. Dandori Academy is a new challenge mode built around collecting treasure as fast as possible, with 72 stages released over time, online leaderboards, medals and three difficulty levels, plus weekend exams on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. You can also give Oatchi commands by voice using the Switch 2's built-in microphone.

It is sold as a full game and as an upgrade pack for existing Switch 1 owners. Nintendo Life lists the full version at $69.99. Upgrade pack pricing differs by region, so check the eShop before buying the full release again.

As of October 3, nothing major is dated for Switch 2 after December 10. Expect a few smaller eShop releases to be added later in the month.

Late-October Switch 2 releases you may have missed

October is not over yet, and several notable Switch 2 games are still coming. Briefly, based on VGC's schedule:

  • Oct 15 – It Takes Two (Switch 2 version), Bluey's Happy Snaps, Ratatan, Toy Story 3 Complete Edition, Toy Story: Retro Roundup!
  • Oct 16 – Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4 remakes, plus Tales of Eternia Remastered
  • Oct 22 – Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Final Fantasy Resonance, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

  • Oct 27 – Minecraft (Switch 2 version)

Ports, upgrades and new games: what you are actually buying

A large share of this holiday lineup is games that already exist elsewhere. That is not a bad thing, but it changes what you are paying for:

  • Truly new games: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, Attack on Titan 3, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, Sonic Pico Park, Hela and Stage Tour. Ocarina of Time is a remake, but a full rebuild.
  • Ports of existing games: Monster Hunter Wilds, Stellar Blade, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Ascent. Most are priced below their original launch prices, which is the right call.
  • Switch 2 Editions with upgrade paths: Pikmin 4 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. If you own the Switch 1 version, buy the upgrade pack rather than the full game again.

Our advice is the same as always: do not pre-order a port on faith. Performance reports for Guardians of the Galaxy, Stellar Blade and Monster Hunter Wilds will appear in the first few days after launch, and none of them is a limited release.
