Cyberpunk 2077 is probably the most dominant title in the world of video gaming as of late. The game is being developed by CD Projekt Red which if you do not know are the same developers that created the legendary game series The Witcher; The Witcher 3 title rose up to be classed as the game of the decade and is hailed as one of the best video games to have ever existed. This fame and reputation is what is hyping up Cyberpunk 2077, with a developer team that is so prominent to be etched in history and the monetary finances to back their motives, the end result is expected to be world class; from what we have seen so far it really is.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the most anticipated game

Cyberpunk 2077 is a role playing game that has a steampunk theme being set in the distant dystopian future. So what exactly is the hype behind this game? If you have not checked their trailer we advise you to do so prior reading to get a context on the game. With Keanu Reeves portrayed as a character in the short, the trailer gained a massive hit of attention with players worldwide.

The game initially began its developments in the year 2016 where CD Projekt Red began its recruitment procedure for a new title. With the care and utmost dedication shown by the team throughout its course players can expect the same quality they experienced with The Witcher 3. From what we have seen so far through game reviews, sneaks and pre-release gameplay, we can comfortably say that Cyberpunk 2077 is the most comprehensive RPG game in development and probably will be for many years to come past its release. The game has tons of personalization though character creation and non-linear game paths. Multiple playstyles, romance options, skill sets, item inspections and gear customisation boost the games playability but adds tons of personal preference to players. Players can take their time with the game and immerse themselves properly without being rushed in by the game's narrative.

With over 400+ developers co-working to make it work, CD Projekt Red has almost double the staff they had with Witcher 3, allowing them to proceed within the timelines without any difficulties. The game is expected to have a fantastic storyline and progression about which nothing is known about since its initial data release; players have to suffice with what has been given out publicly for now. The game is being run on a brand new engine making it the most advanced RPG yet to come and it definitely has next generation compatibility. This is also the reason why the game’s release date is getting pushed back further than what we anticipated; with the Covid-19 impact on the Playstation 5 and next generation consoles, CD Projekt Red has yet to properly optimise the game for such devices. The game is already getting the proper modifications that will allow it to be played on the current PS4. With some luck the game would see daylight later this year in november possibly past the release of Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is mainly hinted to be a single player game that has possible DLC expansions to be released in the set future, with highly sophisticated character threading the game is possibly has one of the most expansive worlds in a video game; unlike in Witcher 3 where the world is linked with little dainty villages, Cyberpunk 2077 is set in a bold city with environmental layers such as the suburbs, urbans metropolis, shady alleyways and a underground. With hundreds of hours of gameplay available, it is not going to be an easy task to marathon it through as every NPC and interactable character provides you with quests and additions to your storyline. There are hints and proof of online playability which is necessary as players would not wish to be limited to their single player campaigns in a game that is as detailed as this. From what we expect it will have the same vibe as GTA V online, just bigger and better.

CD Projekt Red has announced that the game will have no micro-transactions in game which was a sigh of relief for players as many of us were worried about the cash grab potential in a game this big and once again CD Projekt Red has managed to trump our expectations. The game also has no DRM which is something CD Projekt Red is pretty famous for.

The game does not essentially pose you, the player, as either a bad or a good character and it is up to you to make your own path. The game has definitely taken a notch down from the criminal aspect portrayed in most games nowadays and presented a more grey approach to the whole scenario. The mechanics of the game have not yet been discussed in depth as there is so much we do not know about the game but from what we do know there are elements of shooting, combat and stealth all cleverly portrayed mainly through first person but according to certain leaks the game has third person depictions as well. The switches in perspective is usually a good sign as it provides a sense of versatility.

Choose your path for your hero in Cyberpunk 2077

With the 2018 releases by CD Projekt Red and what has been shown so far, it is obvious that the game has undergone some major changes both graphically and structurally; more defined characters and hues with the addition of personalizations. With the hype for the game still burning through months after the iconic trailer featuring Keanu Reeves, it is easily visible that players are waiting counting their fingers for its release. Many stores have opened pre-order sales for the games so if you are someone who is interested we advise you to pick up a copy right away in order to be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 at the latest possible date.
